Lawyers react to Kozgacli's arrest

	MERSİN - Lawyers in Mersin protested the arrest of Selcuk Kozagacli afther his release. 

	 

	Mersin branches of Contemporary Lawyers Association (ÇHD), Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) and Human Rights Association (İHD) made a statement in the courthouse garden for ÇHD Honorary President Selcuk Kozagacli who was detained and arrested again after his release. 

	 

	ÇHD Mersin Branch Chair İsmail Bozkurt described the arrest decision as "instrumentalisation of the judiciary". Bozkurt said, "It is intended to send a message to the millions who rejoiced and hoped for Kozagacli's release that 'our disregard for the law will continue'. However, it should be known that neither him nor those who struggle for rights will be deterred by this lawlessness. As all those in favour of human rights and justice, we demand the immediate release of Selcuk Kozagacli. The re-arrest of Mr Kozagacli has once again demonstrated that political revenge, not law, prevails in Turkey. We announce to the public that we will use all legal remedies against this decision and that we will never give up our determination to fight."
