URFA - Staging a sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse, Şenyaşar family said, "We are sworn, we will not give up."
The sit in Emine Şenyaşar who lost her husband and two sons in the attack carried out by the bodyguards and relatives of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız is on its 81st day. As always, Şenyaşar came to the court house early in the morning and started the sit in. The family who were removed from the grounds, continues the sit in just outside of the Courthouse, in front of police barricades.
'TRUTH WILL COME OUT'
Ferit Şenyaşar who visited her brother Fadıl Şenyaşar who has been in solitary confinement for 3 years spoke about his visit. Şenyaşar said his brother is being held in prison unlawfully and that he has been in solitary confinement all this time but despite these facts he is resisting by himself. Şenyaşar said: "We are hopeful. My brother holds on to this hope. The truth will come out and my brother will be released from prison."
'WE ARE SWORN'
Speaking about the sit in, Şenyaşar said they have been demanding justice in Urfa for weeks and added that Turkey is not ruled by law and there is no justice in Turkey. Underlining that they will continue to demand justice, Şenyaşar said: "We do not accept staying at home doing nothing. We are being oppressed. 3 people in our family have been slaughtered. We continue our struggle with the solidarity of the people. We are sworn to the people we have lost. We will not give up until those responsible are held to account."
