Şenyaşar family's struggle for justice on its third year

URFA - Three years have passed since the murder of 3 people from the Şenyaşar family. Staging a sit in demanding justice for the last 3 months, mother Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit was detained 4 times in this process.
 
İbrahim Halil Yıldız, candidate for election from AKP in the June 24, 2018 elections was canvassing the shopkeepers. Yıldız who entered the workplace of Şenyaşar and did not get the result he wanted, attacked the family with guns. Hearing the words, "We won't vote for AKP", the relatives and bodyguards of Yıldız started shooting at the workplace of the Şenyaşar family. Adil, Ferit, Mehmet and Celal Şenyaşar were attacked with guns, knives and sticks, were injured as a result of the attack.
 
THEY WERE ATTACKED AGAIN AT THE HOSPITAL
 
Yıldız's older brother died in Suruç State Hospital. Waiting at the hospital at the time, relatives and bodyguards of Yıldız family, attacked Şenyaşar who were undergoing treatment. Celal Şenyaşar was killed with a broken ID Drip bottle by the relatives. His throat was cut. Adil Şenyaşar was killed with a bullet in his head while the hospital personnel watched. Hearing his sons were being attack, father Hacı Şenyaşar and mother Emine Şenyaşar ran to the hospital. Father Hacı Şenyaşar was lynched while his wife Emine Şenyaşar was seeing the whole thing. Mehmet Şenyaşar was shot dead at the hospital. He played dead to survive the attack. Then with his brother Ferit Şenyaşar and his father Hacı Şenyaşar, they were transferred to another hospital in Antep. The ambulance was attacked. 
 
MINISTER, GOVERNOR AND DISTRICT GOVERNOR WERE AT THE HOSPITAL
 
While the family was being lynched and slaughtered at the hospital, Urfa Governor Abdullah Erin, Suruç District Governor Tarık Açıkgöz and the then Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba were in the hospital garden. Despite the state officials and high-level security at the hospital, the hospital cameras were destroyed, the blood of Esvet Şenyaşar, who was attacked in the yellow area of ​​the hospital, was washed away.
 
TWO PEOPLE, 23 BULLETS
 
In the autopsy reports, bullets from 6 different firearms were found on Celal Şenyaşar's body. 14 stab wounds were discovered in Adil Şenyaşar's body as well as bullets from 17 different guns were extracted. Father Hacı Şenyaşar had 7 lethal wounds in his body as well as 23 non-lethal wounds.
 
FADIL ŞENYAŞAR LEARNED THE DEATH OF HIS FAMILY AT THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
 
Fadıl Şenyaşar, who lost his father and two brothers, was discharged from the hospital in Diyarbakır 3 days after the incident, and was taken into custody with the instruction of the prosecutor's office and was arrested by the court. Şenyaşar who were still injured at the time, learned that his father and two brothers were dead at the prosecutor's office, just before he was shipped off to Urfa No 1 Type T Closed Prison.  Fadıl Şenyaşar was later transferred to Elazığ Closed Prison and has been in there for 3 years now. 15 months after the massacre, Enver Yıldız, relative of İbrahim Halil Yıldız were arrested and sent to prison. The decision for the case regarding the attack at the workplace was made on April 2, 2021 by the Malatya 3rd High Criminal Court.
 
The court sentenced Fadıl Şenyaşar who survived the attack injured to 37 years and 9 months in prison for killing Mehmet Şah Yıldız, attempting to kill Abdurrahman, Mustafa, Nihat, Süleyman and Kenan Yıldız, injuring Engin Şimşek and Ahmet Çetin. Enver Yıldız was sentenced to life imprisonment which was later reduced to 18 years in prison.
 
While the court board decided that there was no need to sentence Ferit Şenyaşar, the other perpetrators recieved the following sentences; 4 years 3 months 22 days for Süleyman Yıldız, 11 months 23 days for Abdurrahman Yıldız, 4 years 8 months 18 days for Kenan Yıldız, 1 year 11 months 18 days for Nihat Yıldız, 3 years 9 months for Halil İbrahim Şimşek, 2 years 6 months 10 days for Mehmet Şimşek, 2 years 6 months 10 days for Mehmet Yıldız. 
 
STRUGGLE FOR JUSTICE
 
Emine Şenyaşar who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP's İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar started a sit in on September 10, 2019 at the Urfa Courthouse. The family ended the sit in when Urfa Bar Association President Abdullah Öncel promised that the law suit will be filed soon. One week after the sit-in, on September 17, 2019, Enver Yıldız, who took part in the attack, voluntarily came to the courthouse with 50 other people and surrendered. It was revealed in the telephone tapes that he was at home while he was wanted and he was waiting for the prosecutor of the case to change. He surrendered when the prosecutor changed. 
 
'JUSTICE WATCH'
 
 
Stating that they have no more patience to wait, Emine and Ferit Şenyaşar started a second sit in which they call the 'Justice Watch' on March 9, 2021. Mother and son were detained 4 times during the process. The sit in of the family who demand justice will leave behind 3 months tomorrow.
