ANKARA - HDP Group Deputy Chair Saruhan Oluç said: "Don't mess with the HDP and try to divert the agenda while there is so much corruption, filth and dirty relations in the country."

 

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Group Deputy Chairman Saruhan Oluç made evaluations on the agenda at the press conference he held in the Parliament. Oluç underlined that the government cries 'coup' when they say the main agenda in Turkey is unemployment, poverty and high cost of living. 

 

LAW SUIT TO BAN THE HDP

 

Oluç said: "According to the allegations, the Ministry of Interior has assumed the task of warning people who commit all kinds of crimes and money laundering to flee from the country. Is this true or not? The courts does not investigate these allegations or take any action but they filed a law suit against the HDP to ban the party instead of dealing with this mess. Nice job! Really good skills! This law suit to ban the HDP was filed before. It was not accepted by the Constitutional Court because of the baseless accusations.  The Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation, who had prepared that indictment, should have withdrawn because he failed to do his job. But he didn't. Why? Because he is instructed to do so. He prepared another indictment as a result of these instructions and sent it to the Consitutional Court.

 

THIS IS A POLITICAL CASE

 

We said that the fact that this indictment was sent to the court on the anniversary of June 7 elections means something. On june 7, six years ago, HDP got 13.1% of the votes in general elections and stopped AKP from being the only party in the government. They filed the law suit on the anniversary of this election. This is not a legal law suit. This is a political revenge case. I told this at the general assembly yesterday and AKP Group Deputy Chair Bülent Turan said it was a coincidence and unlike Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who spoke at his party's group meeting today, underlining that he did not forgot June 7 elections. He recalled the June 7 elections. HDP got 80 seats at the parliament as a result of that election and prevented AKP from forming a government alone. Therefore, this case is a political revenge case, not a legal one. Because it is impossible for the Chief Public Prosecutor to remember 7 June. But there is a political will that does not forget June 7. The prosecutor filed this law suit on JUne 7, because he was instructed to do so. They are trying to stop HDP from preventing AKP- MHP government to win again at the next elections. "
