URFA - Addressing the AKP MPs, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "Those who remain silent is accomplices to this massacre."
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 297th day. The family travelled 42 kilometers from their house in Suruç to the courthouse and started the sit in for the day.
Underlining that they are being harrassed everyday, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "An AKP MP and his relatives slaughtered people in a state hospital while everybody watched. Everyone in AKP knows what happened. AKP has 302 MPs in the parliament, yet only one AKP MP, Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba spoke about it and said we were right. We want the other AKP MPs to do the same. Everyone should chose their side. Those who remain silent are accomplices to this massacre." Şenyaşar told that they will continue to fight for justice.
'THE BLEEDING WOUND OF THE COUNTRY'
Şenyaşar family wrote the following from their Twitter account: "This is not just our case. Lack of justice is the bleeding wound of this country. The man who slaughtered three people in a state hospital is still a member of the parliament and no one broke their silence except AKP MP Fakıbaba."
