URFA - On the 306th day of the sit in, Şenyaşar family said: "500 AKP members resigned because of this injustice in Suruç."
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 306th day.
The family continues the sit in at their house in Suruç because the courthouse is closed on weekends. Stating that more than 500 AKP members have resigned because of the injustice they suffered, the family wrote the following on their Twitter account: "The peope in Urfa wants the injustice to end. More than 500 AKP members have resigned from the party because of it. We will see that things will go better as long as we stand against the injustice we encounter with."
