URFA - Continuing the sit-in demanding justice, Şenyaşar family said: "Those who committed crimes against humanity are prisoners in the conscience of society, even though the judiciary cannot hold them accountable."
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 327th day. The family continues the sit-in at their house in Suruç for the day because the courthouse is closed on weekends.
From their Twitter account, Şenyaşar family said: "What we understood after what our family has gone through is that the law changes from person to person, from city to city. Those who committed crimes against humanity are prisoners in the conscience of society, even though the judiciary cannot hold them accountable."
