ANKARA - Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç said: "We will wait for the appeal and appeal processes" regarding the decisions of the Kobanê Case.
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç spoke about the Kobanê Case, whose decision hearing was held yesterday. Stating that 108 people were tried in the case, Tunç said: “108 defendants were tried, 72 of them are fugitives. 18 of the 36 defendants were in custody and 18 were on trial under judicial control. Sentences were announced for 24 people, and acquittal was given for 12 defendants. Evacuations also took place. It is very important that we maintain our unity and solidarity to prevent such terrorist incidents from occurring again. We will continue to fight terrorism. The field is open for those who want to engage in democratic politics. There are appeal processes. We will wait for these processes together."
Regarding the Ayhan Bora Kaplan investigation, "The investigation continues" Tunç said.
