NEWS CENTER – While HTS continued its attacks on Kobani, it was reported that it had also begun an attempt to besiege the city.

 

According to Hawar News Agency’s (ANHA) correspondent, mercenaries of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), Interim Government, in Syria are attempting to impose a siege on the city of Kobani in the Euphrates Canton, amid escalating clashes west of Ain Issa. The area is witnessing intense battles involving various types of heavy and light weapons.

 

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), alongside fighters of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), are repelling the attacks and making intensive efforts to prevent the mercenaries from advancing toward Kobani and imposing a siege on the city.

 

Field sources confirmed that the clashes have resulted in deaths and injuries on both sides, while the frontlines remain on high alert amid fears that the confrontation could further expand.
