Metîna village prepares for self-defense against attacks

NEWS CENTER – Residents of Metîna (Metin) village, located east of Kobanê (Kobani), have begun self-defense preparations in response to attacks by Turkey-backed groups and factions affiliated with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
 
Turkey-backed paramilitary groups and HTS continue their uninterrupted attacks on North and East Syria. Assaults and attempts to encircle the city of Kobanê, part of the Euphrates Canton, have intensified.
 
 According to information obtained, heavy clashes are taking place between Turkey-backed paramilitary groups and fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) in the area between the city of Ain Issa and the village of Abu Sira, which is administratively linked to Kobanê. It was reported that fighting in the region has at times escalated in intensity.
 
In the face of the ongoing threat of attack, youth and residents of Metina village east of Kobanê have begun organizing self-defense measures. Determined to protect their village and living areas, the people of Metina have armed themselves in order to exercise their right to self-defense.
