Following the general mobilization call announced by the Autonomous Administration in response to attacks on North and East Syria, residents continue to remain in public squares. As part of the call, people in Qamishlo armed themselves in preparation for resistance. 

 

Armed residents gathered at Rojava Square in the city center. Speaking there, Hasan Koçer, a representative of the Autonomous Administration, said: “Today, a massacre is being planned against our people. Attacks against our region have continued for 14 years. During this period, we have lost 15 thousand people and have 25 thousand wounded. These attacks are continuing today as well. We will resist this. The Kurdish people and the Autonomous Administration will resist these attacks. Together with our forces, with the resistance of the oppressed and the trained, with the struggle of Ziyad, Heleb and Deniz Çiya, and with the sacrifice of Rojbin, we will resist with all our technical capacity and strength. We will fight until the last drop of our blood.”

 

The gathering continued with resistance slogans and traditional dances.
