JINNEWS has released its violence report for May. According to the report, 16 women were killed during the month, while 25 women died under suspicious circumstances.

 

Among the women killed, four were murdered by their husbands, two by men they knew, two by ex-husbands, two by men they were in a relationship with, one by her uncle, one by her son and one by her nephew.

 

The distribution of the women killed by city was as follows: “One in Kayseri, one in Burdur, one in Meletî, one in Antalya, one in Istanbul, one in Mersin, one in Çanakkale, one in Kırklareli, one in Xarpêt, one in Hatay, one in Agirî, one in Konya, one in İzmir, one in Kocaeli, one in Kırşehir and one in Denizli.”
