We, as Hatay Earthquake Solidarity volunteers, have been trying to heal the wounds of the people of Hatay and Samandağ since the first day of the earthquake, together with the people of Hatay and our friends from abroad. We are determined not to leave Hatay and Samandag. We are determined to keep the culture and traditions of Samandağ alive. We would like to share with you once again that we will continue our work until we create the conditions for the people of Samandağ to stay in Samandağ. Today, in accordance with our traditions, we want to commemorate once again our lost lives with our baxur and basil.”
