İSTANBUL - Addressing women in Yoğurtçu Park, Green Left Party Co-Spokesperson Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar said: "The one-man regime is not ready to go, but women are ready to send. We're here, we're going to change it together."
The Greens and the Left Future Party (Green Left Party) held a women's rally in Istanbul as part of the Marmara Region election activities. Hours ago, thousands of women flocked to the rally held in Yoğurtçu Park in Kadıköy with the slogan "We are here, we will replace it with women". The enthusiasm of the women, who created colorful images with their colorful local clothes and purple shawls on their necks, filled the park with zılgıt and slogans. The women entered the park, which was equipped with the flags of the Green Left Party, with the purple convoy they formed by coming together in the Sultangazi district. The women reflected their colors throughout the city with the party flags and purple shawls they carried during the convoy. Women entered the arena with the slogans "Ji,n jiyan, azadi", "Women life freedom" and victory sign.
'ONE MAN ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESTRUCTION'
Speaking first at the rally, Green Left Party Istanbul Provincial Organization director and LGBTI+ activist İsmail Temel said: “We have put on our enthusiasm, our will, we are coming to send the misogynist palace regime. Since we did not make him president in the 2015 elections, AKP-MHP has declared a fight on LGBTI+s. The one-man regime is responsible for the destruction of the family, responsible for the famine"
'WE WILL CHANGE WITH WOMEN'
EHP's Ayşe Ece Kavas also stated: Every day, the president tried to attack us, and we continued to stand strong against their attacks. We will send you all together, not individually. Only we can ensure the brotherhood and equality of peoples. We have a lot to say after May 14. We are here and we will change it together with the women.”
MANY WOMEN VS ONE MAN!
Lastly, EMEP Istanbul Provincial Chair Sema Barbaros said: “We are tired of 20 years of AKP rule. Will we show our unity, equality and peace against the one-man rule at the ballot box on May 14? We are many women against one man. We will send the only man to the dustbin of history. After May 14, we will act stronger with our alliance. The government was afraid of the slogans of 'Jin, jiyan, azadi', 'Biji biratîya gelan(long live public brotherhood)', 'Long live women's solidarity', they should be afraid of us. We will continue together, women will win. We will win together."
