Iraq opens two border crossings with Syria

NEWS CENTER - The Head of the Iraqi Border Crossings Authority announced that Iraq's border crossings with Syria, Al-Walid and Rabia, will be opened.
 
The Head of the Iraqi Border Crossings Authority, Omar Welidi, made statements regarding the opening of the border crossings with Syria. Omar Welidi stated that the current Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, had given instructions for the El-Velid and Rabia border crossings with Syria to be opened as soon as possible in order to increase trade and utilisation of the border crossings. 
 
Omar Welidi said that this step would have a positive impact on Iraq's revenue and that trade through Iraq would increase.
