Mother of Sakine Cansız passes away

DÊRSIM - Zeynep Cansız, the mother of Sakine Cansız, has passed away while receiving treatment in hospital after suffering a brain clot.
 
Zeynep Cansız, mother of Sakine Cansız — a founding member of the PKK — was killed in Paris on January 9, 2013, had been hospitalised after falling and suffering a clot in the brain. She had been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of İzmir City Hospital and was intubated on April 11.
 
She passed away in hospital this morning.
 
Her body will be taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute in Buca. Following procedures there, her funeral will be transferred to Dêrsim (Tunceli).
