NEWS CENTER - PJAK Co-Chair Peyman Viyan stated that a special war is being waged to redraw the map of the Middle East and said, "There is a great need for unity among the political forces in Rojhilatê (Eastern, Iran) Kurdistan."

Peyman Viyan, Co-Chair of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK – Partiya Jiyana Azad a Kurdistan), spoke to JIN TV regarding the developments in the Middle East, the dangers facing the Kurds and Kurdistan, and what Kurds must do to counter these threats.

Peyman Viyan said: “A fierce and special war is being waged to redraw the map of the Middle East. If the Kurdish people do not organize and unite, they will once again become victims of foreign powers’ projects. The nation-states in the region, with a fascist mentality, seek to impose their sovereignty over the will of the people. However, under the leadership of the women’s freedom project, the Kurdish people have become an example of struggle for the entire world.”

Drawing attention to the rise of a national spirit among all segments of society in this new process, Viyan stated: “This is very important for Rojhilatê (Eastern) Kurdistan because the Iranian regime has for years tried to maintain its power through executions, repression, and coercion. Therefore, there is a great need for unity among the political forces in Rojhilatê Kurdistan so that they are prepared for the changes in the region.”
