NEWS CENTER- PYD Co-Presidency Council Member Salih Muslim, who reacted to the air attack on Makhmur Camp, Derik and Shengal, said, "These are attacks carried out because the Turkish state has lost hope in ISIS. The people will respond."

 

PYD Co-Presidency Council Member Salih Muslim reacted to the simultaneous air strikes carried out by Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) warplanes on Makhmur Refugee Camp, Derik district of Northern and Eastern Syria and Shengal. Speaking to Fırat News Agency (ANF), Muslim pointed out that the simultaneous attacks took place after the defeat of ISIS in Hesêkê and said, "The reason of these simultaneous attacks carried out by the Turkish state is because they lost hope in ISIS.  This is not the first time they have resorted to such attacks. They started attacking before when ISIS was defeated. They attacked when ISIS was driven out of Kobanê. As ISIS loses, the Turkish state steps in and increases its attacks. These attacks have no other meaning."

 

'PEOPLE WILL NOT REMAIN SILENT'

 

Stating that the Kurdish people will not remain silent against these attacks, Muslim said, “Our people should show their stance against these attacks. Our peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria and the Kurdish people will give the necessary response to these attacks."
