Accused of striking a deal with government, Şenyaşar family said their only demand is justice

URFA - Responding to journalist Barış Terkoğlu's allegations that  Şenyaşar family held some meetings at the AKP Headquarters with the article "Immoral offer", Ferit Şenyaşar said that they met with all political parties except the MHP for the truth to be revealed, but that there was "Immoral offer" or any deals.

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 465. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018.

Ferit Şenyaşar, who has been staging a sit-in  with his mother since March 9, 2021, spoke about what was written in the press today about the family's struggle for justice.

'WE MET EVERYONE IN PURSUIT OF JUSTICE'

Ferit Şenyaşar said: "We have been fighting for truth with my mother for 4 years. The Justice Watch, which has been going on for 465 days in front of the Urfa Courthouse, continues under oppression. Stating that they have met with all parties except MHP, Şenyaşar said: "We hold meetings with all members of parliament. We go to Ankara sometimes to find justice. We had meetings with the headquarters of all political parties except the MHP. We were massacred as a family, we were subjected to slander after the massacre, so the law is not working. We are meeting with everyone for the truth to be revealed. Our cause is a humanitarian cause, our cause exceeds the limits of political parties."

'MY BROTHER IS NOT A MATTER OF NEGOTIATION'

Underlining that his brother Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been in a cell alone for 4 years in Elazig Prison, is not a matter of negotiation, Şenyaşar said: "We ask everyone to support the law and justice. There is great lawlessness out there. 3 of our people were killed. No lawsuit has yet been filed yet. My brother is being held in a cell alone. We will not compromise without justice being served. Fadıl was arrested when he should have been tried within the scope of self-defense. If there were justice, my brother would have been released. We started the Justice Watch with two demands. My brother to be released and the perpetrators to be prosecuted. We have been chosen as victims. Justice should be served."
