SIRNAK – The road of Hesena village of Silopi district was asphalted after cutting trees and building a military tower.
Since July, a large number of trees have been cut down in the village of Hesana, which is in the Silopi district of Şırnak and located at the foot of the Cudi Mountain. After the tree cutting, towers were built for soldiers and rangers. After the completion of the tower construction, the road of the village, which had been broken for years, was asphalted. It was noteworthy that Şırnak Provincial Special Administration Road and Transportation Directorate completed the 10-kilometer village road in a short time.
ASSYRIAN VILLAGE
The village of Hesena, where Assyrians live, was evacuated in the 1990s for "security" reasons and was banned until the early 2000s. Assyrians migrated to European cities after their villages were evacuated. Upon the lifting of the ban in the village, some Assyrians returned and started to rebuild their villages.
