URFA - An investigation was launched against Emine Şenyaşar, who was on the sit-in, for allegedly "insulting" for the 15th time. 20 investigations were opened against Emine Şenyaşar and Ferit Şenyaşar with similar allegations, 4 of them turned into lawsuits.
The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 541. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. A new investigation has been launched against Emine Şenyaşar for allegedly "insulting" her words on the 529th day of her shift. Due to the investigation, the family went to the Suruç District Police Department with their attorneys in the morning and gave a statement once again. While Emine Şenyaşar was exercising her right to remain silent at the police station, her attorney Nihat Şahin stated that irregularities were made during the investigation and said: "The investigations are aimed at disrupting the family's sit-in."
The family went in front of the Urfa Courthouse for the 541th day of their sit-in after their statement.
