URFA - Reminding Tayyip Erdoğan's words, "I can make amends anytime if I need to", Ferit Şenyaşar asked, "How will Erdoğan make amends without providing justice for the murder of Emine's family?"
The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 570. The sit-in was launched on March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. While Emine Şenyaşar was on sit-in due to health problems in her house in Suruç district; Ferit Şenyaşar started the sit-in early in the morning in the area called "Şenyaşar family justice corner" in front of the Urfa Courthouse. Şenyaşar hung a banner reading "Justice for the Şenyaşar family, justice for all" on the concrete blocks in front of the courthouse.
Ferit Şenyaşar renewed their demands for justice and asked everyone to support their struggle. Ferit Şenyaşar said:"The sit-in continues. My mother continues to stage the sit-in. She wants justice. Her 2 sons and her husband were murdered in a state hospital, and her other son is being held in a cell alone for over 4 years. My mother cannot sit at home under these conditions. For this reason, she has to come to the courthouse for justice despite being ill.”
Referring to the words of AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan in a television program he attended last night where he said "I can make amends anytime if I need to", Şenyaşar said: "Emine Şenyaşar has repeatedly called out to the authorities from here and said that justice should be done. Erdoğan is talking about making amends. How will Erdoğan make amends without providing justice for the murder of Emine's family? My mother's demand is the demand of millions. She wants justice to be served. We have an election before us. If justice is not provided, my mother's demand will be shouted everywhere in rallies. My mother is ill, she needs treatment. No human being can remain indifferent to this call.”
