ANKARA - According to Kurdish politician Sırrı Sakık, who says that all governments have a "Turkishness Agreement", the attack policies towards Kurdish politics do not change even if the governments change.

Since the 1990s, when the Kurds emerged on the political scene, oppression, attacks and massacres have continued. The day after the imprisoned Amed MP of the HDP, Semra Güzel, was lifted from immunity on December 22, the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Headquarters and 9 provincial organization buildings were raided on December 23 as part of the Diyarbakır-based investigation. As part of the investigation, DBP Co-Chair Keskin Bayındır and 14 politicians were detained.

Kurdish politician Sırrı Sakık, who was a witness and victim of the state's liquidation policies that continued for 40 years, and who was arrested after being demoted in the Democracy Party (DEP) Coup on March 2, 1994, evaluated the attacks on Kurdish politics to the Mesopotamia Agency (MA).

THERE IS AN AGREEMENT THAT PROTECTS TURKS FROM BEING HELD TO ACCOUNT

Stating that all governments have an agreement that protects Turks from being held to account, Sakık said: "The attack policies towards Kurdish politics do not change even if the governments change. When we put the police attack against HDP MP Habip Eksik, the beating of HDP Istanbul Provincial Co-Chair Ferhat Encü, the dismissal of Semra Güzel, and before that, the operation of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation regarding treasury aid hastily side by side this in place, there is no right to life for Kurdish politics from the point of the governments."

'KURDS WILL BE PIONEERS"

Stating that they came from a tradition that has closed many parties from the past to the present, Sakık said: “If these were the solution, the HDP would not be the third largest party in Turkey today. They repeat this way over and over. We are seeing signs that the HDP's closure process may accelerate in the coming period. But no matter what they do, the Kurds will be the actors of the process in the next century. life has shown that these things will not happen with the arrests, the operations, the dismissal of the deputies, and the closure of the party. Even if HDP does nothing, it will be the third largest political party in Turkey in the upcoming period. Prints have no value. If they think that constantly trying these methods can add something to them, they are wrong.”

'THE OPPOSITION IS SILENCE REGARDING THE SUFFERING OF THE PEOPLE OF KURDISTAN

Emphasizing that the opposition "woke through the apocalypse" after the court decision on Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Sakık said: "After what's going on in the Kurdish geography, they don't hesitate to appear side by side with the government. This is the most serious thing. We see that what happens in Diyarbakır is not of much interest to Istanbul, but despite everything, we are committed to enlarging the struggle for democracy. We will continue on our way.”

ELECTION PLANS OF THE GOVERNMENT

Expressing that the government will deepen its war policies as the elections approach, Sakık said: “We have experienced such processes. At this point, we should have great meetings with our people. If we can achieve this, we will have the say and the decision. We know it has been a difficult journey, but together we will succeed.”

'EVERYONE SHOULD QUESTION THEMSELVES'

Sakık continued as follows: “A political movement that was around 3 percent during the March 2, 1994 coup d'état is over 17-18 percent today. What a great meeting, despite the acid wells, 20,000 unsolved murders, and Roboskis. Our people waged this struggle by laying down their bodies. It was the turn of those who remained silent about the persecution of the Kurdish people. This government will continue its similar policies not only in the Kurdish geography but also in the west in order to get results. Turkey began to pay a heavy price for this because it remained a spectator to the Kurds. So there is no point in lamenting today. Everyone needs to go back and do some accounting. Six Table's question, 'When we come to power, will we make a new social contract? Are we going to open up a space of freedom for the peoples who are going through a century of pain in Turkey?' so that everyone can take their place in the democratic ranks, but as far as we can see, they do not have such a problem."
