ISTANBUL - The members of the International Delegation Against Isolation, who came together against the isolation against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, met with representatives of political parties in Istanbul.
The group of 36 people, who came together within the body of the "International Delegation Against Isolation", including lawyers, journalists and academics from 7 different countries, against the heavy isolation policy applied to PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, visited to make a speech to political parties and non-governmental organizations in Diyarbakır, Istanbul and Ankara. Members of the delegation in Istanbul will visit the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP), Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party), Socialist Solidarity Platform (SODAP), Labor Party (EMEP) and Revolutionary Party.
INTERVIEW AGENDAS
The first visit of the delegation was the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) in Fatih. ESP Co-Chair Özlem Gümüştaş and Party Assembly (PM) members Ezgi Gürbüz and Meral Tatar welcomed the 6-person delegation, accompanied by Rengîn Ergül, Secretary General of the Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD) and lawyer Bülent Aşa, member of the ÖHD. In this meeting, rights violations in prisons, violations of rights in Kurdistan cities, the political process in Turkey and the closure case against the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) were discussed, especially the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan, who was held under severe isolation conditions in Imrali Prison. The meeting continued closed to the press.
It was stated that the next visit of the delegation will be the Green Left Party.
