ANTALYA / ADANA – Students in Antalya and Adana protested the death of Zeren Ertaş as a result of the fall of the elevator at Güzelhisar Girls' Dormitory in Aydın Efeler district, with marches and sit-in protests.
Zeren Ertaş lost her life as a result of the elevator falling in Güzelhisar Girls' Dormitory, located in Aydın Efeler district, on the night of October 25. Protests by students regarding Ertaş's death continue. Students in Bezmi Alem, Akdeniz, Şehzade, Muratpaşa and Elmalı KYK dormitories in Antalya came together in the dormitories at night and carried out marches and sit-in protests. Students shouted slogans such as "Akdeniz, don't sleep, take care of your sister", "Murderer KYK" and "Zeren is not dead, she lives in our hearts" and drawing attention to the incident was not an accident but negligence and murder.
Students gathered in front of Akdeniz University Rectorate and staged a sit-in protest.
'BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE'
Students gathered at Çukurova University Fevzi Çakmak KYK dormitory at night and protested Ertaş's death by shouting slogans like "KYK don't sleep, take care of your brother." Students demanded that those who were negligent in Ertaş's death be held accountable.
