Kurdish politician Aysel Tuğluk was detained by the police who went to her home, citing an investigation dated 2012. The execution of Tuğluk's 10-year prison sentence was postponed for one year by the Kocaeli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office due to health reasons.
The Association of Lawyers for Libertarians (ÖHD) shared the following message on X: "Aysel Tuğluk was detained by the police who went to her house, citing an investigation dated 2012, and is being taken to the Çağlayan courthouse. The harassment ofJudgment against Aysel Tuğluk, for whom an execution postponement decision was made due to her having dementia, continues!"
