In the statement the following statements were made: "Due to recent events in the wes of Syria and the serious effects of these events extending to the desert regions, serious risks have emerged regarding the mobilisation of large ISIS cells aiming to establish geographical control in areas with security gaps, especially in the north and east of Dêrazor. In view of these risks, we announce that our forces have assumed responsibility for he protection of the inhabitants of the villages of Al-Salihiyê, Tabîyê, Hetla, Xişam, Merrat, Mezlûm and Huseyniyê, eas of Dêrazor. The deployment of our forces in these villages is in response to the calls of the local population against the increasing threats of ISIS by exploiting the developments in the west of the country."
