Cam is being treated at Batman Training and Research Hospital and his health condition remains serious. Cam is being held in the prisoner ward without an escort. Since his kidney values are very high, his treatment continues at the hospital. While a stent was inserted in one of Cam's blocked heart vessels, two other heart vessels that cannot be intervened due to his age are also blocked.

Reminding that her client Cam was referred to hospital before his heart attacks and was sent to prison again on 11 April after being held overnight. Nezahat Celen said, "When we met him on 11 April, he was having trouble focusing. He said that he had severe headaches and that he was told that this was due to a tumour in his brain that had grown over time. His left side is paralysed, which makes it difficult for him to walk day by day. Loss of vision is also increasing day by day. He suffers from memory loss due to the tumour in his brain. He had a heart attack for the second time. He may not survive the third one."

APPLICATION TO THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE

Emphasisng that after the freport from the hospital, her client will apply to the execution judge for a stay of execution, "Then we will report to the ATK (Forensic Medicine Institution)," said Nezahat Celen and added, "We applied to the Ministry of Justice on 18 April. We stated that Çam's condition is serious. It is obvious that he cannot be treated in prison. His execution must be stopped urgently and he must be treated in a healthy environment."

Nezahat Celen stated that her client was subjected to ill-treatment and stressed: "When he was transferred to Istanbul ATK, he was given one meal for one day, even though he was an ill prisoner. He was given a single blanket even though he went in the winter months. He was not given another blanket despite his request. It is not possible to expect a healthy report to be prepared under these conditions. We expect the ATK to make a healthy decision."
