DIYARBAKIR - Institutions working on Kurdish language, culture and art made a call to terminate the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan who was handed in by the international powers to Turkey back in February 15, 1999.
Mesopotamian Language and Culture Research Association (MED DER) and Mesopotamia Cultural Center (NÇM) announced a statement at Amed City Theater to draw attention to the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Association with Families of Prisoners and Convicts ( (TUAY-DER), the Association for Cooperation with Families Who Lost Their Relatives in the Cradle of Civilizations (MEBYA-DER), Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD), the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and the Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) representatives attended to the statement meeting.
'SYSTEM OF NATION STATE WILL COLLAPSE'
Making a joint statement on behalf of the institutions, Abdurrahman Bakır stated that the capitalist modernity has disregarded all the values of humanity, pointed out that the USA, the chief architect of this system, wants to spread the occupation system to the world and make it permanent. Bakır said, “The resistance against cruelty and the exploitation of labor enriches the hopes of humanity and strengthens the belief in freedom day by day. When we look at the developing revolution processes in the world, it is clearly seen that human values have been built and the culture of struggle has been strengthened. We will always continue our struggle and protect our values with the aim of protecting the heritage of freedom and with the awareness of political and moral society."
'CONSPIRATION IS CONTINUED WITH ISOLATION'
Emphasizing that the Democratic Confederalism system aims to bring the humanity together under one roof on a free ground, Bakır said, "The chief architect of this system is Mr. Abdullah Öcalan." Stating that an international conspiracy has been held against Öcalan in order to prevent this philosophy from coming to life, Bakir said, "This conspiracy is continued with a deep isolation."
