NEWS CENTER - PKK said, "A new process will start with the expected statement of Leader Apo. Not everything will be realised with a statement and not only Leader Apo will do everything. The problem is for all of us, as well as the duty is for all of us."

The work of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) delegation that met with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 28 December 2024 and 22 January continues. The DEM Party İmralı delegation will meet with KDP Chair Massoud Barzani and President Neçirvan Barzani in Hewlêr (Erbil) on 16 February. The delegation will meet with YNK Leader Bafil Talabani, Kubat Talabani and YNK officials in Silêmaniyê (Sulaymaniyah) on 17 February. While the work of the delegation continues, PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan is expected to make a historic statement on the solution of the Kurdish problem and the democratisation of Turkey.

The PKK also made an important statement on the issue. "With the combined effect of 26 years of great struggle and the third world war in the Middle East, the international conspiracy attack and the İmralı isolation, torture and genocide system have been completely exposed, broken and shattered," the statement released on the 26th anniversary of the international conspiracy and published by Fırat News Agency (ANF).

'CHANGE' EMPHASISED

The statement reads: "On the 26th anniversary of the conspiracy, everyone in the world, especially in Kurdistan and Turkey, is expecting a new beginning from Leader Apo. It is understood that if there is no serious opposition and coup intervention, a new process, a process of change, transformation and restructuring for everyone will be initiated by Leader Apo. The PKK and the Kurds will change, the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish environment will change, the Middle East and the whole world will change. The state should not be afraid; Leader Apo and the Kurds will not destroy the state, but will restructure it on a democracy-sensitive and open basis. Turkish society should not be afraid; Leader Apo and the Kurds will not divide Turkey, but will work for the democratisation of Turkey on the basis of Kurdish freedom. The freedom and democracy efforts of Leader Apo and the Kurds will not be against anyone in the Middle East and the world; they will be based on the democratic benefit of all."

'THE PROBLEM IS ALL OF OURS, THE DUTY IS ALL OF OURS'

In the continuation of the statement it was read: "It is obvious that a new process will begin with the expected statement of Leader Apo. Undoubtedly, not everything will be realised with a statement and not only Leader Apo will do everything. The problem is for all of us, as well as the duty is for all of us. Everyone will have to understand their duties and responsibilities in the new process correctly and fulfil them in practice. The new process will not be a process that will be realised through expectations or wishes; on the contrary, it will be achieved through conscious, organised and participatory work and struggle."
