HEWLER - DEM Party İmralı Delegation arrived in the Federated Kurdistan Region to meet with KDP and YNK officials.
The Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party continues the visits of the İmralı Delegation after the talks with PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 28 December 2024 and 22 January. In this context, İmralı Delegation arrives in the Federated Kurdistan Region today. The delegation included İmralı Delegation members Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-chair Keskin Bayındır, Asrın Law Office lawyers Özgür Erol and İbrahim Bilmez, DEM Party Foreign Relations Commission co-spokesperson Berdan Öztürk, MPs Gülcan Kaçmaz Sayyiğit and Mehmet Kamaç.
The delegation was welcomed at the protocol guest house at Ibrahim Halil Border Gate. The delegation then left for Hewler (Erbil).
The delegation is expected to meet with KDP Chair Massoud Barzani and Federated Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani tomorrow. During the meeting, the details of the talks held in İmralı will be shared and the opinions, suggestions and thoughts of those concerned regarding the process will be received. A statement is expected to be made after the meeting.
The delegation will then go to Sulaymaniyah and meet with YNK Leader Bafil Talabani, Kubat Talabani and YNK officials.
