Mazloum Abdi: We believe new step will open the door to a peaceful process

NEWS CENTER - SDF General Commander Mazloum Abdi made a statement regarding decision of PKK and said: "We believe that this new step will open the door to a political and peaceful process in the region"
 
Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, made a statement on his virtual media regarding the decision of PKK. 
 
Mazloum Abdi stated: "The PKK’s decisions to dissolve its organizational structure, end the method of armed struggle, and initiate a process of democratic politics are an expression of respect for Leader Öcalan’s call. The PKK has played a historic and decisive role in the Middle East through its long-standing struggle.
 
We believe that this new step will open the door to a political and peaceful process in the region.
 
Our hope is that, with this development, all relevant parties take the necessary steps and that all friends support the process."
