The Press Office of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party issued a written statement following the meeting of the party's co-chairs Tulay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan with the CHP and the New Walfare Party.
WHAT WAS DISCUSSED?
In the written statement, it was explained what was discussed in the meetings and it was said: "The meetings were very productive with the exchange of ideas on current problems. In both visits, the democratic future of Turkey, the recent meeting between Mr Abdullah Öcalan and our party delegation and the PKK's congress decisions announced on 12 May were discussed. In addition, the steps to be taken for peace and solution under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and strengthening the dialogue between political parties were discussed. In this framework, it was shared that it is important to establish a fully authorised commission in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and to adopt a method that will ensure the effective participation of political parties in this process."
The statement added that the talks in this direction will continue.
