NEWS CENTER - Office Labourers' Union (BES) made statements in Antalya, Mersin, Wan, Adana and Izmir before the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations and listed their demands.
In the statements, demands for a decent life and the need for kindergartens in workplaces were stressed. Workers emphasised that they are struggling for a real agreement.
It was noted that these impoverishing policies pursued by the government increased especially urban poverty.
DEMANDS
The demands of the union members were listed as follows:
"* Raise the lowest civil servant salary above the poverty line. All additional payments, including the travelling raise, should be misleading to the basic wage. All labourers should be given 3600 additional indicators and a fair additional indicator arrangement should be made. The injustices caused by Law No. 5510 should be eliminated. All labourers should be provided with rental assistance. End the injustice of the interview, which has not been abolished despite the promise!
* Arrangements should be made for the immediate payment of bonuses and additional payments cancelled by the Decree Law No. 666. Child care and education services should be defined as a right for all parents and children and legal arrangements should be made and implemented as soon as possible!
* For children in the 0-6 age group, open shared baby care units and nurseries close to the workplace in workplaces with at least 50 employees and in workplaces with fewer than 50 employees!
* An urgent legal arrangement should be made for the right to two years of paid parental leave, which parents can use alternately for 6 months from the end of maternity leave until the child starts primary education!"
