NEWS CENTER – The Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) condemned the massacre that took place yesterday in the Mar Elyas church in Damascus.
In a written statement, MSD said, "Violating the sanctity of places of worship and the right to life of civilians is a crime against all moral values and international agreements." The statement added that the aim of the attack was to spread fear among the Syrian components.
"We condemn this dirty act," MSD said, adding that "national solidarity and genuine co-operation among all forces in Syria can be the basis for building a stable and secure Syria."
MSD expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.
