Operation against CHP members in Izmir: Tunç Soyer detained

NEWS CENTER - Many people including former İzmir mayor Tunç Soyer and CHP Provincial Chair Şenol Aslanoğlu were detained in the morning hours within the investigation launched by İzmir Public Prosecutor's Office against İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. 
 
It is stated that a detention warrant was issued for 120 people within the scope of the investigation. 
 
CHP Deputy Chair Murat Bakan made a statement on the operation on the virtual media platform X and stated that they are facing a similar process in Izmir as in Istanbul. Stating that the detention is not a necessity but a political preference Bakan said they will continue struggle against the lawlessness.
