NEWS CENTER – The Interior Ministry of the Syrian Transitional Government announced that the military forces affiliated to them entered Suwayda and a curfew was declared in the city.
While the clashes in the city of Suwayda, which is mostly populated by Druze people in Syria, left three days behind, it was stated that the army affiliated to the Syrian Transitional Government started to enter the city. Curfew was declared in the region.
The Ministry of Interior of the Syrian Transitional Government announced that the military forces affiliated to them entered Suwayda and a curfew was declared in the city. Ehmed al-Dalati, appointed by the Transitional Government as the Internal Security Commander of Suwayda Province, claimed that Damascus forces entered the city for the security of the city and the protection of civilians. El Dalati stated that a curfew was declared as of 08.00 in the morning.
The Spiritual Presidency of the Miwehidîn Muslims (Druze) Community, which made a statement on the subject, stated that they approved the entry of Damascus forces into the city and called on all armed groups to cooperate and surrender their weapons to the Ministry of Interior. In the statement, a call was made to stop the bloodshed.
