ŞIRNEX - A workshop on "Ideology of Women's Liberation" was held in Kejanê plateau on the foothills of Kato Marunis Mountain.

 

Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Women's Assembly and Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) continue their "Ideology of Women's Liberation" workshops. Within this framework, many women, including DBP Women's Assembly Spokesperson Berivan Bahçeci and DEM Party Şirnez (Şırnak) MP Newroz Uysal Aslan, came together with bêrîvan (Milker women) in Kejanê plateau of Kato Marunis Mountain in Elkê (Beytüşşebap) district of Şirnex. 

 

Speaking here, Berivan Bahçeci called for organising within the framework of the ideology of women's liberation and said: "As womeni we must organise against male state violence and unite and ally among ourselves. We must resist the patriarchal mentality imposed on us and transform ourselves. This is the reason why the Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan has identified a free woman, free society. And in one of his determinations, Mr Ocalan emphasises that women must return to the neolothic process and make the transformation on this basis. Therefore, we must organise ourselves with the ideology of women's liberation. We must claim our labour and rights on this basis."

 

Newroz Uysal Aslan stated that women's embracing the process means embracing their own labour and struggle and underlined that women should struggle more.

 

Within the scope of the workshop, bêrîvan women staying in tents set up at different points of the plateau were visited.
