MUŞ/BATMAN - HPG members Yunus Kardağı and Mustafa Bayındır who lost their lives in a conflict were laid to rest in their hometowns in Kop and Batman.
Mustafa Bayındır, who lost his life in the conflict in the Besta Region, was laid to rest in Batman with the slogan "Martyrs can not die". HPG's Mustafa Bayındır, who lost his life in the clash that broke out in the Gabar Region of Şırnak on January 9, was bid farewell to his last journey in Girbereşk village of Batman. After identifying the body at Şırnak State Hospital, the family brought the body of Bayındır to Batman.
The soldiers, who blockaded the cemetery in Girbereşk village of the center, did not allow anyone other than family members to participate in the burial. Bayındır's body was laid to rest by his family members.
A large crowd waited at the cemetery entrance. The mass protested the obstacle by shouting the slogan "Martyr can not die" upon the blocking of the entrance to the cemetery.
DNA TEST RESULTS WERE RECIEVED AFTER 4 MONTHS
The body of HPG member Yunus Kardağı, who lost his life in the clashes that broke out on September 7, 2022 in the Omerya area of Mêrdîn, was taken by his family and laid to rest in the Kop (Bulanık) district of Muş. The results of the family, who gave a DNA test 4 months ago, reached the prosecutor's office last week. After the DNA test matched, the family went to Mardin and took the body and brought him to Kop district. The police did not allow anyone other than family members to attend the funeral. The body was laid to rest in the central cemetery of Kop, with the participation of only family members, late last night.
