NEWS CENTRE - Nobel Prize-winning human rights defender Nargis Mohammadi sent a letter to the UN regarding the executions in Iran.
Nobel Prize-winning human rights defender Nargis Mohammadi wrote a letter to the United Nations (UN) on the Iranian regime's executions, killings and disappearances of dissidents.
In her letter, Nargis Mohammadi called on the UN to investigate the executions, murders and disappearances of regime opponents in Iran over the past 46 years. Nargis Mohammadi also noted that the Iranian regime attempted to assassinate Iranian journalist and political activist Messiah Ali Nejad in the United States.
In another part of the letter, Nargis Mohammadi stressed that thousands of political prisoners have been executed since the establishment of the regime, as well as the lives of many regime opponents inside and outside Iran are at risk.
