It was stated that the prisoners staying in Adana Kürkçüler Type F Closed Prison were subjected to rights violations due to the arbitrary practices and approaches of the prison administration. Prisoners in prison explained the violations and unlawfulness they encountered to lawyers who are members of the Lawyers Association for Freedom (OHD), which carries out their advocacy.

 

According to the statements of the prisoners, rights violations increased with the change of prison administrators.

 

The prisoners stated that the antibiotics and painkillers used by ill prisoners were given in a single dose daily and informed that the prison administration started to give the drugs weekly after the reactions caused by the difficulties experienced by the prisoners with chronic diseases. 

 

Prisoners stated that during the searches carried out in the cells, the poems and notebooks they wrote, as well as the items they bought with money from the canteen, were confiscated.

 

INVESTIGATION STARTED ABOUT SOME OF THEM

 

The prisoners said that the saz tuner they bought from the canteen, the blanket they bought and the cushions they made were confiscated during the searches. And also stated that an investigation was launched against some prisoners on the grounds of "out of purpose" use.
